Tobar na nGhael - The well of the Irish
A unique Australian Irish cultural precinct in the heartland of South West Victoria
HISTORY
The St Brigids precinct is the heart of a community established by Irish immigrants who settled at Crossley from the 1840s. The highest rate of Irish migration outside of the major cities has seen strong Irish influence in this part of south-west Victoria in terms of local politics, family, church and community life and the physical development of the district
